The Training Budget

“We invest in our people.”

The training budget is $500 per person per year. A conference costs $2,000. A certification costs $800. A meaningful course costs more than $500.

So the training budget covers: one book from Amazon, maybe two Udemy courses, and a webinar. The webinar is free but they count it against your budget anyway.

“We invest in our people” means “we allocated a number small enough to not matter and large enough to put in the annual report.”
