They eliminated the position. Then they posted the position.
Different title. Same job. Lower salary. No history of raising concerns or having opinions about the mission statement.
The “elimination” was never about the function. The function still needed doing. It was about the person. Replace the person, keep the work, call it a restructuring.
If you eliminate a position and then hire someone to do the same work, you didn’t eliminate a position. You eliminated a person.
The org chart calls it efficiency. The timeline calls it what it is.
